I purchased the Bulova 96A106 watch in July, 2010. I was skeptical at first because I have never owned a Bulova before. I can now say that I made a great purchase! I have worn it daily for nearly six months. So far it has been an excellent watch. The self winding feature is very good. And depending on how much I wear it, it can last up to two days without winding. Perhaps more, I simply haven't left it off my wrist that long. A rough estimate of winding time to running time with occasional winding is about 4 hours wearing/winding time (driving a car or something like that) to about 24 hours of run time. That's a very unofficial and non-scientific estimate.

As far as the looks, I like it. Women often compliment me on it. My techy friends think it is cool because of the windowed back so you can see the gears. My green hippie friends think it is good that there is no battery to replace. It dresses up well for business casual, and dresses down for jeans just as well.

I had to have the band adjusted when I got it. It's something that can be done by the owner if you have the right tools and experience to do it without damaging the watch. But I paid $8 to have it adjusted at a local jewelry store, and that is the route I would recommend.

I'd recommend this watch to a friend anytime. My next watch will definitely be a Bulova too.
